Yoga for beginners - Video course plus optional online meeting

Available to begin now!

This six week video course aims to give those new to yoga a solid foundation on which to build a lasting practice. 


You will receive a course video each week after signing up, giving you a full spectrum of key elements which are essential basics for those new to yoga.


In addition to the videos the course includes a 1hr personal consultation via Zoom to address any questions or to do some practice with direct guidance.


What's included in the course?


  • Full programme of yoga practices from the basics perspective.  This will include:
  • Postural alignment and safety.
  • Foundational yoga poses from the major groups; standing, seated, lying, twists and basic inversions.
  • Correct use of basic breath and "bandhas", or core support.
  • Brief explanation of the background and origins of yoga.
  • A variety of meditative, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques, all suitable for beginners.
  • Introduction to the use of energy in yoga, and an introduction to chanting Om 


Who's this course suitable for? 

  • Anyone with a reasonable level of overall fitness and who is without serious injury.
  • Those wishing to gain a solid grounding in the range of practices available in yoga; the postures, the breath work, introduction to chanting, use of energy in yoga, and a basic background on the history of yoga.
  • Please note that this is not a therapeutic course, and is not suitable for those looking to rehabilitate from specific injury or medical condition. However if you have an injury or medical condition which does not restrict your mobility or general fitness, and you have had medical confirmation that yoga is suitable for you, please feel free to contact me to discuss whether your individual needs might be met by this course.

Yin and Restorative Extended Class

Saturday 24th April 2021 9-11am: CHARITY CLASS

YOGIC LESSONS YOU CAN LEARN FROM YOUR POOCH  - class via Zoom


A chilled out session where we consider the wisdom of man's best friend!  Be more dog!  If you've never considered the canine condition as yogic, you're in for a surprise - your dog is a beautiful embodiment of  yoga.


This is a charity class, with all funds going to a local animal rescue centre.  Donations are not compulsory, but would be appreciated from all who can afford to make them, whether class subscribers or those paying for this as a single class. I
